Eye Health from Kings - The Eye Sight Test / Eye Examination.
What is the purpose of an Eye Sight Test ? What does it Involve?
An Eye Sight Test is a vital health check - it's not just simply to see if you need visual correction or not.
As part of our dedicated care we ensure that we provide the utmost comprehensive clinical care by our Optometrists. We methodically test how well you can see and read at a distance and close up and advise you on the eye correction if required. A thorough eye examination will reveal information about your general health and check for known eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, colour blindness, high blood pressure and diabetes.
We work closely with the Liverpool Royal Eye Hospital. Patient care and attention is paramount and our extensive knowledge and comprehensive product and lens types will ensure at the end of the eye examination that you are truly satisfied. We treat all our patients equally in the same manner whether private and NHS.
We are happy to accommodate Private, NHS and Corporate Eye Examinations.
Employers' legal obligations: employers must ensure that VDU-users in their employment are provided with, on their request, an appropriate eye examination, carried out at regular intervals by a competent person.
We recommend that you have a thorough eye examination every 12 - 24 months. The Optometrist will guide you as to your own specific requirements.
Our highly professional eye examination Charge is £25, there are a number of concessions available. Kings offer the best selection for our NHS patients.
Your entitlement to free eye tests.
• Under-16s.
• Under-19s in full-time education.
• Over 60s.
• People (or partners of people) who receive certain benefits.
• Holders (or partners of holders) of an exemption certificate (HC2).
• People who need certain complex lenses.
• People diagnosed diabetic or with glaucoma.
• People aged 40 + who are the brother, sister or child of a diagnosed glaucoma patient.
